State of South Carolina is Hiring a Program Coordinator I (Day Programs) Near Laurens, SC

This position is located in Clinton, SC
The purpose of this position is to plan and approve the development of Whitten Center's on-campus Day Support Programs as well as monitors implementation of ISP and programs. This position is responsible for the oversight of Central Square and Campus Adult Activity Centers; the Enclave and Greenhouse operations; and the Leisure Services program.1. Supervises Day Support staff ensuring programs are effectively implemented and meet consumer needs. Secures arrangements from both private sources (business and industry) and within Whitten Center to provide a therapeutic work environment offering age appropriate vocational, pre-vocational and sensory-stimulation activities.2. Provides staff training that is current and sufficient to safely and effectively implement programs and work activities while complying with internal procedures and all agency, state and federal requirements. Monitors programs and ensures staff adhere to Behavior Support Plans and ISPs as related to Day Programs.3. Supervises Leisure Services to ensure center-wide activities are provided for all consumers.4. Maintains thorough and accurate records required for internal documentation and payroll records. Monitors Enclave and Greenhouse revenues and expenditures to operate within budgetary guidelines. Ensures that all documentation required by DOL is completed accurately and that required supports are in place.5. Participates in Executive Committee and other committees/projects as assigned by the Facility Administrator.

Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field and two years of experience or an Associate's degree and five years of experience, or five years' experience in Day Programs with two years in management.  Extensive knowledge of growth and developmental processes for persons with developmental disabilities. Skilled in program development and administration. Knowledge of agency, state and federal regulations applicable to an intermediate care facility with day support programs. Sound leadership/management/interpersonal skills.
